Villa Hanbury: the Botanical Gardens unique in Europe

The Hanbury Botanical Gardens are located near Ventimiglia and offer a wonderful range of different plants, fruit and herbs, beside an unspoiled Mediterranean Scrub. Its building started around 1867. The nature lover Thomas Hanbury brought there several plants and feed of species found in his travel around the world. Now it is taken care by the University of Genoa and form an Association called the Friends of the Botanic Gardens Hanbury.
